- New office marks expansion of JLR’s engineering operation in Portland to focus on global advancement of software development and user experience design – a key element in the delivery of the luxury vehicle manufacturer’s Reimagine strategy

JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) is developing a new cutting-edge facility in Portland, Ore. dedicated to further enhancing the company’s software development and product engineering innovation. This new office represents the luxury car manufacturer’s renewed commitment to Portland where it has operated an office since 2013 as a key component of JLR’s Product Engineering network.
Developed by Langley Investment, a private real estate investment company, 80 JLR employees will be based at the new 50,000 sq. ft. office which will take residency at the Redfox Commons, nestled in Portland’s vibrant Northwest district. The complex, which will be managed by The Instant Group, has distinguished design features that have been noted by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Honor Award and the DeMuro Award for Excellence in Preservation, Resue, and Revitalization, among others.

JLR first opened an office in Portland in 2013 and has since laid down deep roots through partnerships with government and regulatory agencies, participation in technology and industry advocacy groups, and support of nonprofits supporting access to technology, workforce training for underrepresented groups, and community betterment.
